Who we are...
Out The Box Fitness was created by two fitness professionals who were frustrated by the diet industry hijacking exercise. Frequently, we had clients who succeeded in their fitness goals but felt defeated because they did not reach their weight goal. Clients would give up on fitness when it didn’t deliver their “ideal” number on the scale. They were completely missing the point, exercise is important to everyone regardless of weight. Health and fitness benefits are not reaped by reaching an ideal weight number, but by daily exercise and movement. We were motivated to start a fitness revolution where success is measured by performance not in pounds lost. We encourage everyone to move their bodies in a meaningful way every day. We never weigh or measure clients, we measure success by being able to do more today than yesterday. We encourage clients to find an activity that they truly enjoy, make fitness fun, and reap the benefits exercise offers. If you will lose a few pounds along the way, that is a great side benefit – but not the one and only benefit.
Our Philosophy...
Out The Box Fitness offers a different approach to fitness. Instead of trying to fit exercise into your already busy life, OTB Fitness teaches you to add fitness into your life. We want you to be capable of accepting real-life activities in real-life positions, not just lifting weight in an "idealized" posture created by a gym machine or other standard piece of fitness equipment.
